How to Make Organic Chocolate Truffles

If you love chocolate then there’s no way you’ll be able to resist these chocolate truffles. Truffles are surprisingly easy to make and making your own is a great way to be sure that all the ingredients are organic.

The original recipe is for mint chocolate truffles but once you get the hang of the basics you can make them in any flavour you choose. The recipe calls for 8 ounces of bittersweet chocolate which is roughly 225 grams.

Ingredients for Organic Truffles:

  • 225 grams organic dark bitter chocolate
  • 1/4 cup organic cream
  • 1 tsp organic peppermint extract (or similar)
  • organic cocoa powder

How to Make Organic Truffles:

  • Heat the chocolate and cream in a glass bowl over simmering water.
  • Whisk until well combined.
  • Whisk in the flavouring.
  • Put mixture in the fridge to chill slightly.
  • Use a teaspoon or similar to scoop our small chocolate balls.
  • Roll in the cocoa powder.
  • Eat!
