Most electricity in Australia is generated by non-renewable energy sources. The burning of fossil fuels for energy is a significant contributor to global warming but is also a resource which won’t be around forever. For whatever reason, we need to find alternatives.
Australia’s climate is perfect for creating solar power, however, the cost of producing this power is currently relatively high. This is also the case for wind power. Production costs for both of these renewable energy sources is decreasing with increased research and improving technology.
